IT HAS BEEN ROUGH

Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone enjoyed their three day weekend (those that had one anyway lol).  I have been MIA again - I swear this month has been a rough one! I threw my back out last weekend and spent the majority of the week on the couch with a heating pad :-( I could not even sit up straight to stamp which is very sad! However, I am feeling MUCH better and although it is still sore, I am back to my normal routine and wanted to share another card before you all forget about me lol!
This is another workshop card from a few weeks ago.  The theme was Valentines so of course it had to be about love lol! I used the stamp set Follow My Heart, I really love it and seem to stamp with it a lot lol! I demonstrated the dry embossing technique using the Big Shot so they could see how much it adds to a card. I love to emboss and do it on almost every project I do whether it's wet or dry embossing. This particular folder is the Fancy Fan folder, one of my favorites because it is so elegant. The colors are soft for this one, but I did add some black accents to add some pop to the card, it really makes it stand out don't you think? I will leave you with the recipe below, and remember, right now Sale-a-Bration is going on which means for every $50 you spend you get something FREE! If you are like me, you LOVE LOVE LOVE FREE lol! Take advantage of it, it won't last forever. If you see something you like, you can purchase it in my online store and if you have any questions, please feel free to email me, I am happy to answer them! Until tomorrow (yes, tomorrow I promise lol!) happy stamping! XOXOXO

HAPPINESS - YEP!

Happy Friday!! And, Happy Birthday to ME :-) Yep, it's my day today and so I am going to go and scrapbook with friends, and then out to dinner with my family. My son Tyler is coming for the weekend - best birthday present ever! It would be perfect if my other son was here, but hey, I will take what I can get lol!  I know he is here in my heart and that is what counts, right?

Last night I had a workshop with ten fabulous ladies and we made Valentines Day cards. We had a lot of fun and there was some serious laughter going on in that room, which always makes me happy!  So, I want to share one of  our projects with you today. We used two stamp sets for this card - the heart is from the Language of Love set and the sentiment is from the Loving Thoughts set, both of which are amazing sets that I have played with a lot! It's a simple card that shows a lot of different things on it, which is what they enjoyed. They all got to experience Stampin' UP! punches (awesome!!) and I showed them how to use embossing folders to get that beautiful background look you see here. The Designer Series Paper is Eastern Elegance, which I am finding to be a very versatile paper pack that I have used on all kinds of projects. And, of course no project with me is complete unless there is some bling so we used both pearls and rhinestones lol! This card will be perfect for that special male - no pink on this one :-) I will leave you with a list of supplies and if you see something you really want, you can order it in my online store! And, don't forget: now is the perfect time to get your orders in because it's SALE-A-BRATION, which means FREE stuff! The link to the SAB catalog is on my website so make sure you check it out, there are some awesome things that you can have FREE!! Did I tell you they are FREE?? BEAUTIFUL LIL GIRL

Happy Hump Day!! I woke up this morning and was all congested again...uggghhh!! How does that happen? I felt soooo good yesterday and today I am feeling like I am starting over! I take an allergy pill everyday but this is definitely not allergies :-( So, I am spending the day stamping for my workshop tomorrow and plan on relaxing and lying around tonight - ahhhh, the life of a work at home woman :-)

Today I am sharing a "for fun" project that uses all Stampin' Up! Products but some have been retired. So, I am not going to list any products but feel free to ask if you have any questions. I will say that the Designer Series paper is current and is called Gingham Garden - isn't it sooo pretty??! I love this line, I see lots of usage in my future lol! This is Allie's second grade spring school picture and she was so excited that we went out and bought a new outfit and Kayla got up and did her hair in the morning. Look at that pose - yes, there is some sass there, but honestly, she is the sweetest little girl ever and I love her like she's my own. I feel very blessed to have her in my life, and she was thrilled that I made this canvas, she thinks it's "awesome sauce" lol. It will be taking a place of honor on my craft room wall next to my other kiddos. The flowers are all inked because they were white and I wanted some pop of color. I was very sad when they retired but I have a ton of them and plan on using them many times in the future for my own personal use :-) I painted the canvas a hot pink which is Allie's favorite color and it matched so well with her outfit. I love how this canvas turned out and it brings a smile to my face every time I look at it!

So, now I am off to stamp my heart out for my workshop tomorrow with Richelle and her friends! I can't wait, I have not been doing workshops for awhile and I am soooo excited to get back into the groove of things! If you are interested in doing a workshop, please contact me and I will be happy to sit down and talk with you about a date - now is the time to do this since Sale-a-Bration is here and that means FREE stuff!! I love FREE don't you :-) Until tomorrow, happy stamping!!!

LOVE YOU ALWAYS

Good morning! I know, I know, I have been absent AGAIN.....I cannot seem to shake this thing and have been on the couch for a week with a terrible terrible cold - I swear, I sneezed myself into a migraine! So, me, my box of tissues, and my blankie sat on the couch and watched reruns of several shows of which I remember very little lol!! But, I feel MUCH better and I am back to stamping so I thought I would share! This card was fun to make, and I kept it simple since I will probably give this to my sweetheart (along with several others :-))  It's a square card and I used the stamp set Best of Love. These best of stamp sets are awesome because they are made up of several of the best stamps from sets that span that last 25 years - like I said, AWESOME!! I embossed the heart using Tangerine Tango embossing powder and I dry embossed the squares of Island Indigo card stock. And, I could not resist adding a little bling as well *wink*. I will leave you with a list of supplies, and you can order all of them in my online store should any or all catch your fancy!! I will be stamping a lot today as I prep for some upcoming workshops and of course, my stamps and scraps in the mail program! If you are interested in learning more about this fun program, feel free to email me and I will get you all the details! Until tomorrow, Happy Stamping!!

YOU MAKE ME SMILE

Good morning stampers!! Whew! I know it has been awhile since I last posted and I am sorry about that but I was battling the worst flu ever and then I went out of town for a few days only to come home to sickies in the house! However, everyone is healthy and back and work and school again so I am finally able to get back to my crafty place and stamp!!

Today I used a really fun set called Polka-Dot pieces, which has quickly become one of my favorite stamp sets to play with! I love that the images can be punched out and it is soooo versatile! I started with a base of Coastal Cabana card stock, which I layered with Eastern Elegance Designer Series Paper. I then took my 1 3/4 inch Circle punch and punched a hold through both front layers to the inside. I stamped the small flower in Wisteria Wonder ink and then again in So Saffron ink, and, using my 7/8 inch Scalloped Circle punch, and my 1/2 inch circle punch, punched both pieces out and popped them up on dimensionals on the inside of the card. It's a fun little technique that adds a little zing to your card - I love how it looks! The main image is stamped on Whisper White card stock. I used the large flower and the smaller flower, and they are stamped in So Saffron and Wisteria Wonder inks, punched out with my scallop punches, and popped up on dimensionals. I added a vintage faceted button to the center. The sentiment for this set is what I used as the stem and I stamped it in Coastal Cabana ink. The image is backed in So Saffron card stock, and then another piece of Eastern Elegance Designer Series Paper.  I used some Natural Trim ribbon and added some pretty Basic Pearls to finish up. This is a simple but very pretty card, and I had fun making it! If you like any of the items you see here, you can purchase them in my online store!

I will be back tomorrow with another fun project I have been working on that I can't wait to share! Until then, stay warm, and stamp :-)

THINKING OF YOU ALWAYS

Good morning stampers!! Brrrr....it is cold here today, the high is 50 YIKES! That is cold for Florida.....I know, I know, there are those out there much colder than me, BUT this IS Florida lol! So, I am staying in today and stamping! I have a pretty spring-like card to share today - it makes me feel like Spring anyway lol. I used the Stamp Set Peaceful Petals, which is fast becoming a favorite!! Love this set, there is so much you can do with it. I wanted bright and cheery so I used Island Indigo card stock for my base and paired it with Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper. I used a piece of Melon Mambo card stock, embossed it with the Scallops textured impressions from the Occasions Mini, then cut it into a pennant. The ribbon down the center is Island Indigo Chevron ribbon - yummy!! The images are backed by So Saffron card stock and some more of the Gingham Garden DSP. I stamped the flowers in Melon Mambo and Island Indigo ink, then popped the small one up on dimensionals. I added a pretty little button from the Basic Metals button collection found in the Occasions Mini and threaded it using Whisper White Bakers Twine.  The butterfly is stamped in Island Indigo and then I took my So Saffron stampin' write marker and added some highlight color to contrast with the rest of the card. I also added some bling in the form of basic jewels. I used a half of a paper doily, added a strip of Victorian Lace ribbon and then used some Large pearls to top it all off. I have to say, this is one of my faves I have made in awhile, it makes me happy!!! I hope you like it too, and if you like the items used in this card, they can be purchased in my online store or you can contact me direct and I can help you with your order. Now, I am off to get my stamps in the mail kits ready - there is still time to join so let me know if you are interested and I will get you all the details!! Have a wonderful day!!! XOXOXO
